How long does mold development take?
Typically 15–45 working days, depending on complexity and size. Simple molds take about 15–20 days; complex precision molds may take 30–45 days.
How are mold costs and unit prices calculated?
Mold fee is a one-time charge covering design, steel, machining, and trial runs. Unit price depends on material, weight, production volume, and process complexity. Larger quantities significantly reduce the per-unit cost.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
No MOQ for trial samples. For mass production, MOQ is generally 500–1,000 pieces, varying by product size and material.
What mold steels do you use, and what is the lifespan?
We use P20, 718H, S136, NAK80, and other high-quality steels. Lifespan ranges from 100,000 to 500,000 shots, depending on material and requirements.
Do you provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback?
Yes, we offer free DFM reports before tooling, covering wall thickness, draft angles, gate location, and shrinkage risks to help reduce costs and avoid issues.
What plastic materials do you support?
We process ABS, PC, PP, PE, PA6/66, POM, PMMA, TPE, TPU, PET, and many engineering plastics, including glass-filled, flame-retardant, and high-temperature grades.
Who pays for mold modifications after the first trial (T0)?
If modifications are due to our design or processing errors, we cover the cost. If changes are requested by the client, a reasonable fee will be charged based on the complexity.
How do you ensure quality and on-time delivery?
We assign a project manager to oversee every stage—design, machining, assembly, and trial. Quality is controlled with CMM and hardness testing, and we use systematic scheduling to ensure timely delivery.
Do you also offer production injection molding services?
Yes, we provide full injection molding production, including secondary operations like silk-screening, painting, and assembly. You can get both mold and production from one source.
What file formats do you need for a quotation?
Yes, we provide full injection molding production, including secondary operations like silk-screening, painting, and assembly. You can get both mold and production from one source.
What are your payment terms for molds?
We require a 50% deposit upon contract signing, and the remaining 50% after mold completion and client acceptance. Acceptance is based on the approved drawings and trial samples.
